About the Business

Hibner Insurance Agency was founded by Duane Hibner in 1981 after he and his wife, June retired from a lifetime of farming and ranching.  They both had strong ties to the agricultural industry and decided that they wanted to stay involved with the local area farmers and ranchers.  Duane had also started a realtor business to help supplement income for the first few years until his insurance company began to prosper.  Despite some major changes and tragedies within recent years, including the death of its founder, Hibner Insurance is continuing to grow.  They have expanded their coverage area from local area farmers and ranchers to all of western South Dakota, southwestern North Dakota, southeastern Montana, and northwestern Nebraska.
