Bison Food was created when Ernest Kari and Carl Knutson started together in 1947. In 1973, Ron Kopren joined the team when he bought out Carl as did Ernest's son, Dennis, and together they formed a corporation. Then, in 1977, the team of the Bison Food became Ernest, Dennis, and another son, Kevin. A fourth son, Rene, became a member of the corporation in 1979. By 1995, Bison Food was run by the entire Kari clan of: Ernest, Dennis, Rene, Kevin and Blane. They specialize in custom butchering and have won several awards over the years. They make delicious homemade sausage, brats, lunch meat, wieners, jerky and pepper sticks that make your mouth water. They also make turkeys and for your party needs or perhaps as a gift, they make meat & cheese, fruit and vegetable trays to any size you need.
